OUR PROGRAMMES 2024/2025 school year

There are two application sessions a year. 

Programme for Teaching and Training (T&T) This programme is currently open, until 12th October 2025

To support additional training, especially in SpLD, SaLT, OT, Trauma and SEMH for adults helping children and young people access education and learning. It might be Teachers or TAs undertaking Level 5 or Level 7 study or part or whole school CPD.

Schools or charities working in schools may apply. It is possible to apply as an individual and means testing will apply.

Inspiring Young Minds (IYM)This programme is now closed for the 2024/2025 school year

It will open again in December 2024.

The programme is intended to support schools in creating innovative projects for specific cohorts and/or to benefit whole school learning.

The theme for the school year 2024/25 was communication difficulties: Speech, Language, Hearing Impairment, Social communication. Grants were only be awarded if your proposal addresses these difficulties.

Further information is given on each programme as you open and work through the application form.

GRANT HOLDERS

Grant Remaining Balances. 

The “left to pay” balance represents the total grant awarded less amounts already paid and is subject to satisfactory progress reporting each July.

Grant offers may sometimes be made over more than one school year and for less than the cost of the service provided.

Your offer letter details how your Grant may be spent and any other associated conditions.

Progress Reporting

Each July you will be asked to complete a progress report.  This important information allows us to monitor our grant making progress overall, and to allocate future grants more effectively. For IYM the report will be in the July one year after the award. For T&T an update will be required each year until closure and for longer courses at 12 months after training completed.
